8/17 Boyes Farmhouse

GV II

Farmhouse. C17 altered C19. Timber-frame with brick infill and additions, front
and sides stuccoed. 2 storey double gabled front and rear elevations with H-
shaped roof plan, to rear at right early C19 service wing. Front has central door
in C19 gabled stuccoed porch. Each side on both floors 3-light casements with
hood moulding. 1st floor string and string at foot of gables. Roof steep pitched
with large multi-flued stack in centre of cross roof. Outer roof of right gable
swept down over outshot extension of front elevation, with small 2-light casement
and casement above it. Behind this on swept down roof C20 flat roofed addition and
behind that gable end of C19 range.
