SU 52 NW CHILCOMB CHILCOMB

10/3 The Manor House

GV II

House. Late C18 front to early C18 house with earlier core. Brick front
elevation, other elevations reused squared stone and brick chequerwork, old
plain tile roof. 2 storey and cellar, 3 bay by 3 bay main part with to rear
at left older 2 bay by 2 bay. 1½ storey service wing with outshot on far end.
Front late C18 3 bay, 2 storey with cellar under left bay. Central C19
rectangular flat roofed brick porch with dentilled cornice and crennelations,
and C18 4 panelled door in rubbed brick arch. Low plinth to house and porch.
5 16-pane sashes with rubbed brick arches and stone sills. Boxed eaves to
hipped roof. On return symmmetrical chimney stacks.
