Description

SU 4234 CRAWLEY CRAWLEY
(North Side)

11/3 Glenbuck Cottage

GV II

Two cottages. C18. Brick and thatch. Range of cottages, now 2 units, but
the east side (an addition of 1813) was a shop associated with a third dwelling
with a rear extension (now within the 2nd unit). Long front of 1 storey and
attic, 6 above 7 windows. ½-hipped roof, with eaves raised above the upper
windows. Red brick walls in Flemish bond, cambered ground-floor openings.
Casements. 2 plain doorways with boarded doors beneath thatched hoods. The
rear walls are varied, with some flintwork, and it is likely that the middle
section of the building is of earlier origin.
