11/8 Ash Tree Cottage
and Becky's

Pair of cottages. Early C19, extended c. 1900. Brick walls and thatched roof.
Older middle section, extended at each end c. 1900; .I storey and attic, 6 above
5 window. ½hipped roof, in catslide at rear, 4 eyebrow dormers and 2 dormers
with gables. Walls of Flemish bond, with blue headers and brick dentil eaves
to the central part; at each side there is red brickwork, and above this is a
band of exposed framing with plaster infill: this is repeated at each end within
the gables, resting on brackets above brick walls. Casements, of 2 (dormers) 3
and 5 units, the larger having leaded lights of many tiny panes: the end
window at each side is a rectangular bay. Plain doorway with boarded door at
the east side (Becky's), and entrance in the west end to Ash Tree.
