Avington House

GV II

Fountain late Cl8, restored 1983. Coade stone with Portland stone repairs.
Octagonal bowl with stepped buttresses on each corner, lower part of trefoiled
blind arcading with offset, upper part of pairs of traceried panels with shields
in centre of Grenville and Buckingham arms and moulded coping. In centre foliage
fountain head.
