Lychgate

GV II

Lodge. Mid-C19 built-in conjunction with church. Church with limestone
dressings, oak lychgate, old plain tile roofs. 2 bay 1½ storey end on to
road with lychgate on one side and gabled porch on other. Lychgate 2 bay
with narrow bay against house and gabled dormer to other bay. Arched brace
structure with paired curved struts on tie and moulded bargeboards. Low
hurdle gates. Road end of house with 4-light trefoiled window and 2-light
window above. Gabled porch has pointed doorway on road side. Large ridge
stack with stone base and brick stack above.
