8/47 Top Lodge


Lodge. Mid C19. Colourwashed rendered brick and tile-hung gables, timber
verandah, slate roofs. 1½ storey, 3 bay with 1 bay wing to front in centre
with on ground floor canted bay and in front verandah on timber posts that
runs round building. In centre of canted bay under verandah projecting
porch with C19 4-panel door. Canted bay and rest of ground floor have
paired sashes with small edge panes. The 3 gables are tile-hung with
4-light leaded lozenge pane oriel windows and ornately decorated barge-
boards. Stack where ridges meet in centre and on rear wall to end bays.
