SU 43 SW SPARSHOLT LOCK'S LANE

Farmhouse. Mid-C18 possibly earlier core with late C18 service range.
Brick, old plain tile roof. 2 storey and attic on basements, 3 bay with
2 storey 2 bay addition to right. Central doorway with 3 Portland stone
steps in front and either side in basement 2-light segmental-headed window.
C18 6-pane door in doorcase of pilasters topped by consoles supporting open
pediment. Each side and on 1st floor 5 12-pane sashes with cambered arches
above. 3 C20 hipped dormers with 12-pane sashes. End stacks. Right-hand
service wing has right of centre planked door with each side and to left on
1st floor 12-pane sash. Lower eaves and ridge to roof with stack of house
to left, stack at right and ridge stack left of centre.
