12/5 Phoenix Inn

GV II

Public house. C17 core, refronted C18 altered C19. Timber-frame core
refronted in brick, rendered with incise masonary lines, slate roof. 2
storey, 4 bay, with wing to rear in centre. C19 top-lit double doors in
moulded frame with moulded flat hood between right bays, each side C19 flat-
roofed canted bays. In centre left bay 4-panel top-lit door with rectangular
fanlight and moulded flat hood. To its right side and in left bay 12-pane
sash. 1st floor raised to parapet and piecing it 4 3-light gabled dormers.
Roof half-hipped to right with C19 stack on gable and above right door and
C18 stack at left end. Much altered, so included for group value.
