House with behind store and butcher's shop fronting Queen Street. C16 and
C17, refronted C18, extended C20. Timber frame with colourwashed infill and
encasing old plain tile roof. On main road 4 small bay front of 1½ storeys,
irregular. Inner bays have 6-pane segmental head sashes, left bay has
blocked door and wide right bay has C20 'Olde Worlde' door under long hipped
hood that continues to corner. Above centre bays 2 2-light casements with
heads in gabled dormers. Roof half-hipped to left with stack near front at
left end and ridge stack above door, and roof hipped around right corner.
Right end set at angle with C20 hipped bay with similar dormer above. Beyond
it, set back, 2 bays of exposed C17 frame. In each bay C19 2-light casement
and top-lit door in gabled porch with trellised sides and 2 or 3-light gabled
dormer above. Beyond C20 shop under continued roof with dormer.
