11/20 Queen Street House

GV II

Small house. C17 core, early and late C18, and C20 additions. Timber-
frame core, colourwashed brick, old plain tile roof. C17 buildings with
early C18 range added to front and C17 building rebuilt as 2 C18 ranges at
right angles, one extended C19. Early C18 N front has Cl9 brick Doric porch
with door replaced by window and each side Cl9 3-unequal-light casement with
rubbed brick head of earlier sash. Above 1st floor string and 2 similar
windows each side of Cl9 2-light casement. Coved timber eaves, and end stack
stacks. Entrance now on road front with gable of early C18 range to right
and lower late C18 3-bay range to left, with reset C18 6-pane door in right
bay and C20 casements.
