Drinking fountain and horse trough. 1897. Column, in the form of a white stone
cap having Gothic mouldings ending in a crown at the top, above a plain short shaft
of polished pink granite, then an octagonal stone base, spreading by a series of
mouldings, above an octagonal sandstone foot. Extending from the base on one side
is a basin, and on the other a wide rectangular trough. Gothic lettering on a band
(of the capital) states 'In commemoration of the sixtieth year of the reign of Queen
Victoria'.
