House, still associated with the mill; at one time in three units. Mainly c1820,
but possibly of earlier origin (the present mill being itself a replacement), with
mid C19 extensions in style. Brick walls of Flemish bond, rubbed flat arches,
stuccoed and with keys to the wider ground-floor openings: other walls of Flemish
and Flemish Garden Walls bonds with blue headers. Hipped slate roof to the main
part, with carved eaves brackets regularly spaced: half-hipped tile roof to the
rear service wing. Symmetrical south elevation of two storeys two windows, the
east side being an extension in style, its upper window taken from the ground-floor.
Longer west elevation (to Mill Lane) with a later insertion between the former
stable block (now rear wing) and the house, of two storeys, 2.3.1 windows. Sashes,
casements to the rear. Wood early C19 doorcase, with open pediment, pilasters,
arched opening, radiating fanlight, and 6-panelled door; another plain classical
doorway (C20).
