House. C16 timber framed hall with a crosswing, early C18 recladding of part in
brickwork, early C19 cladding of part in flint, with early C19 rear wings.
The frame is exposed in the upper part of the crosswing, with a north gable
jettied on brackets: painted brickwork in Flemish bond with plinth, 1st floor
band, cambered openings: flint walls with brick dressings to the ground-floor
of the crosswing (once jettied at the north end) and the single-storeyed rear
service wings: the base wall at the east end is stone rubble, of large blocks.
Tile roof, with gable to the north, hips and half-hips elsewhere; prominent
stacks, one tapered and attached to the outside of the framework (at the west
elevation), the other attached to the back of the frame but now enclosed within
rear outshots. North front elevation with gabled crosswing projecting at the
west side; two storeys, two storeys and attic: 3.1 windows. Casements, one old
C18 leaded light in the gable. Doorway with moulded canopy on carved brackets
and 5-panelled (1 top glazed) door.
