SU 6415 HAMBLEDON EAST STREET, NORTH SIDE

General Supply Stores)

House and shop (now offices). Late C18, with early and late Cl9 features. Walls
of brickwork in Flemish bond, cambered ground-floor openings, brick dentil eaves.
Hipped tile roof. South elevation of two storeys three windows. Sashes in exposed
frames. The corner has a central entrance with shop windows on each side (one
facing High Street), with a dentilled cornice and a frieze (rounded at the corner).
The house part has a C20 classical doorcase with double half-glazed doors.
Notes: the rear premises facing High Street (East side) are separately
described.
: the shopfront design is repeated on the opposite corner, of
High Street with West Street.
