10/1 Bere Farmhouse
House. Timber frame with C17 and C18 cladding, C18 and C19 extensions, and mid
C19 changes. East and north walls tile-hung, other walls of brickwork in English,
Flemish and Flemish Garden Wall bonds, with plinth, cambered openings. Tile roof,
large shafted stack with Tudor base to part. A tall timber frame with lower and
later extension; north west front with taller gabled north east side, of two
storeys three windows. Upper casements, ground-floor sashes. Late C18 brick
porch with arch, impost bands, gabled roof; and 6-panelled (4 top glazed) door
within. The south-east elevation is two storeys three windows, with a
single-storeyed wing at the south-west side: tile-hung walls, brickwork to the
wing in Flemish bond with blue headers; casements and early C19 brick porch.
