SU 6424 WEST MEON CHURCH LANE

School. Date plaque 1864. Walls of knapped flint with Bath stone dressings;
plinth, stepped buttress, stepped stack, windows with ogee heads to single and
coupled lights, and mullion and transom lights to the larger units (beneath
hoodmoulds). Steep slate roof. Gothic building of irregular form, the east
front having a large gable to the south side, a prominent chimney stack, and
a gabled porch to the north side. The north end shows a double-pile roof, the
lesser gable (set back) at the west side having a stone bell turret. The rear
(west) elevation has enlarged C20 windows.
