east of Middle Battenhall
Farmhouse

GV II

Cow house. C17 with late C19 alterations. Timber-frame on stone plinth with
brick infill, partly weatherboarded, tile roof. Three framed bays aligned north/
south. Two storeys, upper floor aloft with two doors to left; ground floor:
three entries, that to left blocked and a 2-light fixed casement inserted.
Framing: originally six square panels high, but lost on ground floor; north
gable: three struts to collar with V-struts in apex, straight angle braces to
tie-beam.
