4/608 Cow house about 10 metres
west of Upper Battenhall
Farmhouse

GV II

Cow house. C17 with late C19 alterations. Timber-frame with brick infill on
stone plinth, tile roof, hipped at north end. Three framed bays aligned north/
south. Two storeys; two loft doors to first floor; two small fixed casements
to ground floor, two entries. Framing: straight angle braces; four square
panels, only one at top of wall surviving. Included for group value.
