Circa 1840. Large "Gothic" style house set back from road in grounds. Ashlar;
3 storeys; 3 2-light windows with pointed arched heads, 'Y' glazing bars and horizontal
hood moulds. Right of centre is a tiered, 2 storey bay window with transom and
mullions, panels carved with escutcheons etc. and embattled parapet with blind quatrefoil
panels; elaborate porch projecting on left-hand side having angle buttresses, parapet
crowned with pinnacles, pointed arched doorway and heavy carved oak divided door;
moulded eaves cornice with embattled parapet and crocketted pinnacles; stone octagonal
clustered stacks. Elaborate "Gothic" style conservatories attached at southside.
