Long Hyde Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse early C18 on earlier core altered in C19. Rendered blue lias stone with
slate roof and one brick ridge stack to main range. At North end cross-wing with
steep gabled roof and plain tile North roof slope. Main range 2-storey and attic with
3 gabled dormers, moulded stone eaves, coped south gable end, three 16-pane sashes to
1st floor, 2 similar to ground floor, arched headed doorway with panelled reveals and
open pediment doorcase and one casement pair. Gable end of cross-wing has angle
quoins at North end, one 16-pane sash to 1st floor and C19 splayed bay window to
ground floor.
