House. C17 with early and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed,
painted brick infill, brick additions, plain tiled roof with brick ridge
stack. Two framed bays on north/south axis plus one additional early C20
brick bay at south gable end enclosing former external chimney and continuing
roofline. Single storey and attic with gabled dormers. Framing: three panels
from sill to wall-plate, long straight braces in lower corners, collar and tie-
beam truss with two struts to collar and V-strut in apex at north gable end.
West front elevation: original two bays to north of ridge stack have a ground-
floor window and two gabled dormers in right bay and the main entrance with C20
gabled half-glazed brick porch and C19 panelled door in the left bay; the
addition to the south of the stack is painted to resemble timber-framing, two
ground floor windows and a gabled dormer; all windows are 2-light casements;
ground floor windows have plank weatherings and gabled dormers have scalloped
bargeboards. Attic lights and scalloped bargeboards at gable ends. Interior
not inspected. C20 single-storey extension to rear original part and lean-to
extension with catslide roof to rear of south addition. The timber-frame appears
largely intact.
