Chest tomb. Early C19. Sandstone ashlar. Moulded base and flat capping,
panelled frieze and shaped inscription panels with moulded borders.
Commemorates George Thomas, died 1815. One of several chest tombs including
the Emiss memorial (qv) and the Farmer memorial (qv) occupying prominent
positions within the hilltop churchyard.
