Farmhouse, now house. Late C18 with mid-C20 alterations and additions.
Brick, plain tiled hipped roof with central ridge stack. Rectangular plan
having a central lobby entrance. Two storeys with dentilled eaves cornice.
Three bays; windows have moulded architraves and cambered heads; ground
floor has 16-pane sashes, first floor has 2-light casement windows; the
central first floor window is blind; the central entrance has a doorway
with a cambered head, a flat moulded canopy on shaped brackets and a door
with six raised and fielded panels. C20 additions at rear. The farm was
part of the Vernon Estate. The house retains its lobby entry plan and
the original symmetry of its facade. It lies close to Granary House (qv)
and the barn (qv).
