Farmhouse. Early C17 with late C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Timber-framed
with painted brick infill and replacement walling, plain tiled roofs.
Probably three framed bays aligned north-west/south-east with large external
chimney to rear of north-west bay. Single storey and attic with dormers.
Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate, long straight brace in lower
corner at north-west gable end; above in the gable is a collar and tie-beam
truss with two collars, four struts to lower collar (one now replaced by
window) and two to upper collar with concave V-strut in apex. North-east
elevation: plank weathering at first-floor level; ground floor has two 2-
light casements; two gabled dormers with 2-light casements; central gabled
timber porch and C20 door with moulded architrave. Attic light in north-west
gable end. Brick stack to rear roof pitch at south-east end. Interior not
inspected but noted as having large fireplace at south-east end. A semi-
circular lias limestone rubble bread oven projects from south-east gable
end retained when the gable end and chimney were altered. C19 and C20
additions at rear.
