House. Late Cl7, rebuilt early C19. Stuccoed brick, hipped slate roof
behind parapet at front, 2 large brick chimneys to rear front range and
at gable end of rear wing. Mainly 3 storeys. Front elevation: 5 bays,
all windows have stone sills and moulded architraves, ground and first
floor windows are glazing bar sashes, second floor windows are 6-pane
sashes; central entrance has doorcase with open pediment, modillion cornice
and pilasters, and 6-panelled door with traceried, segmental fanlight;
each side of the doorcase are narrow, traceried side lights. The west
side elevation has a flat-roofed, bowed, 2 storey projection with 3 cross
casements on each floor. Interior: inspection not possible. At rear
right is a 2-storey and attic-with-dormers wing, 3 bays and much altered
externally but believed to contain the original late Cl7 part of the house.
