Cottage. C17, extensively restored mid-C20. Timber-framed, rendered infill
and large brick external chimney with detached stack at east gable end and
also external brick stack at west gable end. Two framed bays; single storey
and attic with gabled dormer. Framing: 3 square panels from sill to wall-
plate, long straight braces in lower corners and collar and tie-beam trusses
with queen struts in gable ends. Front elevation has 3 ground floor 2-light
C20 casements, a 2-light casement in the central gabled dormer and a central
C20 door. Attic lights in gable ends. Interior: roof has a single row of
trenched purlins and an intermediate collar and tie-beam truss with queen
struts. At the east gable end a single storey wing leads into a large,
single storey and attic extension.
