SO 86 NW OMBERSLEY CP BORELEY

Farmhouse. Probably late C16, rebuilt early C19. Part timber-framed
with painted brick infill, part brick, coursed sandstone rubble base,
tiled roof, brick end stacks with offsets. Two storeys and attic with
dormers, dentilled eaves cornice. Front elevation: two bays; two ground
and first floor 8-pane sashes with moulded architraves, stone sills and
rusticated lintels, two gabled dormers with scalloped bargeboards and
2-light casements; entrance to left of centre has a flat canopy, pilasters,
6-panelled door and transom light with two glazing bars. Some timber-
frame exposed in right side elevation and rear; four panels from sill
to wall-plate and collar-and-tie-beam trusses with queen struts. Interior
not inspected. Two storey brick rear wing; between wing and timber-framed
end is a round-arched doorway with blue brick bullnosed surround.
