House, now public house. Late C16, refaced early C18, mid- to late C19
and mid-C20 alterations and additions. Timber-framed with brick infill,
painted brick refacing and additions; plain tiled hipped roof and large
brick external chimney at left side. Three framed bays and through-passage.
Two storeys, attic with dormers and cellar; 3-course band between main
storeys. Front elevation: regular arrangement, windows and doors all mid-
C20; three ground floor 2-light casements with cambered heads, three first
floor 2-light casements, three gabled dormers with 2-light casements; door-
way to right of centre has ledged and battened door and a cambered head.
Projecting at left side is a mid-C19 single storey wing with canted bay
window, having a central 4-pane sash and side sash windows with moulded
architraves. Interior: much altered; C17 dog-leg staircase in central bay
with part of original moulded handrail and turned balusters surviving.
C19 and C20 additions at rear.
