Lock keeper's cottage. c1830 with mid-C20 alterations. Brick with blue
brick dressings, hipped slate roof and brick stacks to side elevations of
main part. Two storeys with band between storeys; full-height canted bay
flanked by low single storey hipped wings. Front elevation: symmetrical
arrangement; all openings have cambered heads and are multi-paned casements;
central part has long, narrow side lights on both storeys; a central first
floor 2-light window and, beneath, a C20 half-glazed door; the side wings
have end quoins and 2-light windows. Interior not inspected. A two-storey
wing adjoins the central part to rear left.
