House. Late C18, altered and extended during early and mid-C19. Painted
brick with partly hipped slate roof, brick end stacks to main part and also
rear stacks. Central three storey and cellar, three-bay block with two-
storey, two-bay wings each side and slightly recessed; moulded eaves cornice
and blocking course; all windows have cambered heads with voussoirs and
moulded dropped keyblocks and are glazing bar sashes; outer ground and first
floor windows of centre block are of 16 panes, and 8-pane sashes on the
second floor; central bay has a 6-pane sash on the second floor; central
entrance has Ionic portico with a wrought iron balcony, half-glazed double
doors and a transom light with four glazing bars; the side wings have
glazing bar sashes, the lower sashes of the ground floor windows have been
replaced with plate glass. Interior not inspected. C19 two-storey wings
with dentilled eaves cornice adjoin at right side and rear.
