Farmhouse. C15, with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations and additions.
Timber-framed, painted brick and rendered infill, brick replacement wall-
ing, sandstone rubble base, plain tiled roof, two brick ridge stacks and
external brick stack at right gable end. Former cruck hall house of
probably four framed bays; single storey and attic with dormers. Framinj
three square panels from sill to wall-plate, full cruck truss exposed in
right gable end; left gable end rebuilt in brick. Front elevation: C20
flat-roofed single storey extension runs full length of ground floor;
two gabled dormers with 2-light casements. Entrance in right gable end;
C20 lean-to glazed porch and door. Interior not inspected, but it is
said that three pairs of crucks are still intact.
