Lodge. Mid-C19. Red brick in English bond with ashlar dressings, plain
tiled roof. Rectangular plan with external end stack to south and lateral
stack to east with grouped diagonal shafts. Single storey and attic with
half-dormer; chamfered stone plinth and mot-tided sill string to upper floor
windows returned on all fronts. Jacobean (Flemish inspired) style; mullioned
windows with leaded casements. Two window front to drive: hipped, canted
bay window to right and 2-light window to left with hoodmould; half-dormer
to left with three stepped lights and shaped gable with ball finial; doorway
to centre left has moulded jambs and Tudor arch with cornice. Shaped end
gables on stone kneelers and with moulded string copings and ball finials.
Norwich Union fire insurance mark with No 80585 situated beneath half-dormer
in front elevation.
