Lodge Mid - to late C19, with mid - C20 addition. Red
brick with ashlar quoins and dressings, plain tiled roofs. Picturesque
style. Two storeys; three bays with central projecting porch and external
end stacks, each with three diagonally-set shafts, the south end one having
chamfered stone offsets, the north end one now incorporated into a C20
wing of roughly matching design. East front elevation: outer bays have
3-light ground floor casements and first floor 2-light casements beneath
small gables with scalloped bargeboards; two storey, gabled jettied porch
has a Tudor-arched entrance and plank and battened door within, lancet
side lights and, above, small moulded brackets supporting a stone
"bressummer"; first floor oriel on corbels with hipped roof; gable has
pierced, scalloped bargeboards.
