8/36 Baptist Chapel


GV II

Non-conformist chapel. c1829. Brick with slate roof. Aligned north/
south, south gable to street, minister's house to north end with gable-
end stack. South front: brick coped verge to gable, band to first floor
with circular ventilator with decorative iron grill in gable; two storeys,
three windows: metal framed casements with segmental heads and stone sills;
ground floor: central entrance with two-leaf door below radially glazed
fanlight. Side walls each have two semi-circular headed windows with Gothick
glazing. Interior: retains original box pews and plain gallery to south.
