House, now divided into two dwellings. Late C17 with mid-C19 and late C20
alterations. Limestone ashlar with machine-tiled roof and large roughcast
ridge stacks. H-plan. Two storeys and attic with dormers. West front
elevation: 2:3:2 bays; central part has two ground floor and three first
floor cross-casements (all replacements except central first floor window).
Above is a C19 gabled dormer with 2-light C20 casement. Central entrance
has a moulded architrave and double doors with raised and fielded panels.
The left gable end has two ground floor 30-pane sashes, two first floor
C20 cross-casements and a similar attic window. The right gable end has
two C20 cross-casements on both floors and at attic level. The windows on
the main floors have C20 stone lintels and the attic windows have flat
arches. Interior: central and rear right ground floor rooms were inspected
have retained their original panelling. At the centre of the right wing is
a large open well staircase with slender spiral balusters, moulded handrail
and panelled dado.
