House. Circa 1760, altered c1800 and mid-C19. Limestone ashlar with plain
tiled hipped roof and brick stack to east side of both west and east wings
(other stacks now demolished). H-plan. Two storeys, cellar and attic with
dormers; chamfered eaves cornice. South front elevation: 2:3:2 bays. Windows
are all 12-pane sashes. Central three bays have two ground and three first
floor windows, three hipped dormers with 2-light casements and a central
entrance which has a moulded cornice, an eared moulded architrave, panelled
double doors and a transom light with traceried glazing bars. The west wing
has two ground and first floor windows and a hipped-roofed dormer with a 2-
light casement. The east wing has an apsidal projection added in c1800 and
which has a roof slightly lower in height than the main roof. It has a mod-
illion string course between the main storeys and three windows on both
storeys. The first floor windows of both wings and also the ground floor
window of the apsidal wing have semi-circular heads with traceried glazing
bars, and the central windows on both floors of the apsidal wing have moulded
architraves, imposts and moulded keyblocks. Interior: the front ground floor
room of the west wing has some re-used C17 panelling.
