Coach house and stables, now converted to three dwellings. Mid- to late C18,
converted late C20. Dressed coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings
and hipped plain tiled roof. 2:1:2 bays; central bay occupied by large round-
headed archway. Two levels with imposts to central archway continuing as band
at upper floor level. Main south elevation: central archway is surmounted by
a pediment raised above eaves level and containing a round-lobed quatrefoil
window. The flanking bays have C20 round-headed cross-casements on the ground
floor. There is a hipped-roofed dormer window with a pair of 3-light C20 leaded
casements on the left side, and a 2-light C20 casement at upper floor level and
also two skylights on the right side. There is a three-bay wing to the rear of
the two left bays. The building adjoins the rear west wing of Upper Court (qv)
and is situated adjacent to the Church of St Nicholas (qv). Included for group
value.
