9/95 Ashbury Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid-C18 with mid-C19 addition. Part finely-jointed brick with
plain tiled roof, gable-end parapets and rear brick stacks, part coursed
dressed limestone rubble with plain tiled roof and brick stack at left end
of ridge. Original brick part of two storeys with three-course band between
storeys and dentilled eaves cornice. Three bays. Windows have gauged flat
heads and are all 12-pane sashes with moulded architraves. The former central
entrance has been blocked and a 12-pane sash inserted into the original open-
ing. C19 addition is of three storeys and two bays. The original cross-casements
survive on the ground and first floor and also the original 2-light casements on
the second floor. There is also a small C20 rectangular light to the right of
the ground floor. At the rear is a lean-to with a catslide roof.
