House, now public house. Early C19 with mid-C20 alterations and additions.
Coursed limestone rubble faced with painted brick, slate roof, gable-end
parapets with ashlar coping and brick ridge end stacks. Two storeys with
cogged eaves course at front. Three bays; windows have gauged flat heads
on the ground floor and are all 12-pane sashes with stone sills. Central
entrance has an entablature on Doric columns, a door with four raised panels
and a barred segmental fanlight. There is a large two-storey rear wing which
has a 6-pane ground floor sash window with a cambered head and a 4-pane first
floor sash window in its north side elevation facing the main road. A single-
storey flat-roofed C20 addition adjoins the right gable end of the main part.
