12/2 The Hop Kilns (Nos 1 & 2)

GV II


House, now two. C17, extended 1882 and remodelled late C20. Coursed lias
rubble with ashlar dressings and machine tile roof. Two storeys with large
gabled stair tower projecting to right of centre. 4 + 1 + 1 windows to first
floor, all C20 single-light casements. That to stair tower has a chamfered
surround. Ground floor has a garage to left-hand corner. Entrances to left
of stair tower and in right-hand return wall of same have C20 half-glazed doors.
