9/82 Old Cottage

GV II


House. Probably C16, extended C18 with some late C20 alterations. Timber-
frame with rendered infill on stone plinth and thatched roof. Two bays,
that to north C16, to south C18, with gable-end stacks. One storey with
attic lit by eyebrow dormer to left. Ground floor has two 2-light C20 case-
ments and entrance to left-hand corner. Framing: exposed cruck truss to
left-hand gable, wall-frame all C20; C18 bay has framing three square panels
high with straight tension braces.
