SO 36 SW STAUNTON ON ARROW CP -

Farmhouse. C15 core with late C17 additions and alterations, mid- to late
C19 alterations. Sandstone rubble with stone slate roof, hipped to later
wing. T-shaped plan with earlier wing aligned east/west and adjoining
later wing to west. Through-passage to west of earlier wing, east gable-
end stack, north gable-end stack and lateral stack to later wing. Single
storey and attic to earlier wing, C20 flat-roofed dormer window with 2-
light window and gabled dormer with 2-light casement window to left of
centre. Ground floor has one 3-light casement window to right of entrance
with gabled canopy and part-glazed door. Two-storey later wing to left with
heavy buttressing to south; 3-light casement window to south. Interior of
earlier range reveals two cruck trusses with chamfered blades. (RCHM, Vol
III, p 183).
