GV II

Farmhouse. C17, with late C18 or early C19 extension and largely
remodelled during early C20. Timber-framed core with part wattle-and-
daub, and part painted brick infill, largely refaced with brick during
early C20; late C18 or early C19 sandstone rubble addition, Welsh slate
roof. Five bays aligned north/south with later addition extending to
west from centre of west front; main axial stack and lateral stack to
later addition. Two storeys. West front: one 2-light casement window
to right, two similar windows to ground floor to left of lean-to porch
with ledged door. Central gable end of later addition with 2-light case-
ment window and canted bay with casement windows to ground floor. Pair
of 2-light casement windows to left and one further similar window to
right. To main house to right, pair of similar windows and one 3-light
casement window flank square-headed doorway with ledged door. The square
panelled timber-framing is revealed to this part and also to the rear.
The interior is largely altered with the C19 staircase inserted into the
through-passage. It retains a good cross-beamed ceiling and plastered
