5/43 Walker's House


GV II


Farmhouse, now house. Late C17, altered and extended mid-C19. Brick,
plain tiled roof with parapets at gable ends and brick end stacks. Single
storey and basement with dentilled eaves cornice; three bays. West front
elevation: three ground floor cross-casements, two blind openings in base-
ment; all have cambered heads. Main entrance in south gable end enclosed
within C19 addition. Interior not inspected. The building was being re-
roofed at time of survey (March 1985). C19 lean-to additions at rear.
C19 addition at south gable end of two storeys, two bays with 2-light
casement windows, central entrance and round-headed archway to left pro-
viding access to both original and C19 part.
