GV II


Farmhouse, now house. Mid-C18 with mid-C19 and mid-C20 alterations. Brick,
plain tiled roof with parapets at gable ends and end stacks. Two storeys,
attic and cellar with dentilled eaves cornice. Five bays; all openings have
cambered heads; ground floor has plain sashes, first floor has cross-casements;
three gabled dormers with 2-light casements, central entrance, C20 door with a
pair of rectangular lights each side and shallow fanlight. Interior: central
hall retains its C18 open well staircase with turned balusters, moulded hand-
rail and panelled dado. Large C19 additions at rear right with single-storey
wing adjoining inner left side and forming small rear courtyard.
