Barn. C17 with mid-C19 alterations. Timber-framed, weatherboarded, with
some brick infill and replacement walling; corrugated iron roof. Four framed
bays aligned roughly north/south; wagon bay situated second from north end
with opposed cart entries. West elevation has two pairs of open panels, one
pair of which is glazed, and a single open panel with a shutter; wagon bay
has slightly raised roof and blocked entrance with inserted double doors.
Interior: three square panels from sill to wall-plate; long straight braces
in lower corners; collar and tie-beam trusses with three struts to collar
and V-strut in apex at ends; intermediate trusses have raking-struts; two
tiers of trenched purlins. The barn is situated at right angles to the
adjacent granary (qv).
