Farmhouse. Early C19 with mid-C20 alterations. Brick with plain tiled
roof and end stacks. Three storeys with dentilled eaves cornice. Three
bays; windows all have cambered heads; two ground and first floor 3-light
casements; three second floor 3-light casements; central gabled brick porch
with square light in front gable end and ledged and battened door in right
side. Interior not inspected. Two-storey wings at rear and C20 flat-
roofed glazed porch. The farmhouse is constructed of dark mottled local
brick, the colour of which is said to be caused by the abundance of coal
in the substratum.
