House and outhouses. Early C19, extended mid-C19. Ashlar with slate
roof. West front of three storeys with coved cornice. Four windows,
glazing bar sashes to first floor, 6-pane sashes to second floor. The
ground floor has only two glazing bar sashes of larger proportions. The
central entrance has a flat-roofed portico on two Ionic columns with
entablature. Door of four panels, the upper two glazed below a fanlight
with wrought iron decoration. The entrance is flanked by two circular
recesses. Right-hand (south) return front has tripartite windows divided
by stone mullions to ground and first floors, those on the ground floor
with moulded stone architraves. Second floor has Diocletian windows and
the gable above is treated as a pediment. Attached at north-east corner
is a hexagonal outhouse with pyramidal roof. Interior: main staircase
has stick balusters. (BoE, p 69).
