2/13 Hall Farmhouse



Farmhouse. Late C17, extended early C18, with some late C20 alterations.
Coursed rubble with machine tile roof. Gable-end stacks with rectangular
plan brick shafts. Two storeys, band to each floor, five windows: C20
cross casement windows. Ground floor has a 3-light casement under a brick
segmental head. The central entrance formerly had a pediment (indicated
by a break in the band above). It now has a four-pane overlight and a
C20 panelled door. A single-storey service extension to right-hand gable.
Interior: walls are fully framed on each side of central stair hall. C17
staircase has turned balusters and moulded string. (RCHM, 3, p 12, no 9).
